Session Resources

Let’s talk about the AVP Experience and our photography process.

Our method is simple: We tailor the photography to you and your family.
Each session is a unique experience, built from the ground up just for you. This is your day to relax and enjoy your family and loved ones; we will do the rest!
Our process can be broken down into four steps. The initial consultation, reserving your session, session day, and your reveal and ordering appointment.
No worries! We stay in contact with you throughout the entire process.

1. First, let’s get to know each other.
To get started, fill out the contact form on the website. We’ll make arrangements to speak over the phone, skype, or even meet in person.
We’d love to learn more about you, your family, and your photography needs. This is the time for you to ask us any questions. We want to make sure we are a good fit!

2. The next step is to reserve your session date and time.
If all goes well, and you like what you hear, the next step is to reserve your session. In order to secure your session, a retainer and signed agreement are required. The retainer reserves your session’s date & time – no images are included in the fee. (You’ll pay for any images and the artwork you choose at your reveal and ordering appointment.)
After our initial consult, we will send you a proposal that includes the agreement and retainer invoice. We make it easy for you to provide us with a few details, sign your agreement, and pay your retainer all online. Once we receive your signed agreement and paid invoice, your session is officially reserved! You’ll receive a detailed Session Guide that goes over everything you need to know before your session, and we can start planning and finalizing your session details.
We are here to help as much as you need. We can discuss wardrobe, locations, pets, and more! Session planning can be done through a mix of phone conversations, texts, emails, skype, and in-person meetings. Whatever method works best for you!

3. Now, the fun part, your session!
On the day of your session, we’ll meet at the chosen time and location to capture timeless and amazing images. This is the fun part! Relax, enjoy time spent with your loved ones, and let us do the work!
We will use a mix of prompts and games to keep things fun and easy-going.

4. The Reveal and Ordering Appointment, what you’ve been waiting for.
The reveal is when you view your images for the first time and order your products featuring your favorite images. We will prepare a slideshow for you to view and enjoy your images. After you view your slideshow, we assist you with choosing your favorite images, and how you’d like them displayed in your home.  We have an a-la-carte menu, but we also create custom collections to fit the needs of our clients.
Each client is different, so the amount varies, but clients typically invest $1,500 and up on their artwork. We are print-focused, and our custom albums are the most popular option! You’ll receive the corresponding digital files with all artwork purchased. Payment plans are available.

We work with a select number of clients per month so that we are able to dedicate more time to each and every one of you! Your family is the most important thing in the world, and we want to make sure that we capture your unique story. Each session with our clients is personalized and custom designed; and it all starts with saying hello.
