Mom, It’s Time for you to get in the Picture | DMV Family Photographer

The bond between a mother and a child is unlike any other, and it can be beautifully captured with a camera. But if you’re anything like me, you’re always the one behind the camera in family photos and hardly ever in them. The photos tend to focus more on the children, or of the children with the other parent.

Life is truly precious and filled with moments we sometimes take for granted.  I want to be in more photos with my children, and if I am a photographer and feel this way, I know it is true for other Moms out there. I realize how important family portrait sessions can be. Now is the perfect time to capture memories with your children, regardless of where you or your kids are in life. Your children will look for pictures of you one day. What will they find?

I want you to be IN THE PICTURE! Our lifestyle family sessions make it super easy for you to get images with you laughing, loving, hugging, and just being with your family. This is your chance to really make a photo session about you, your family and the special bond that you share.

If you are looking for an alternative to traditionally posed family portraits, our lifestyle sessions are ideal.  First of all, we like to keep our process and the actual session as close to stress-free as we can and walk you through everything.  After you book your session, you get access to our client lounge that goes over everything that you need to know to be super prepared for your session. We check in with you before your session and make sure that all your questions are answered. You are also free to email us anytime with your questions or concerns.

Lifestyle sessions provide a space where your natural interactions and emotions can play out, resulting in a mini time capsule of your current relationship. Our family sessions last about 1 hour. Afterward, it’s fun to enjoy dinner or a special treat with your family. You might even want to make this an annual tradition so that you can beautifully document the relationship with your children.
