A Few Things About Me (Besides the Camera)

I create personality-filled portraits for fun-loving kids, newborns, and the families who adore them. Based in the DMV, I work with families across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia to capture expressive, authentic images that reflect your child’s energy, spirit, and one-of-a-kind personality. Whether it’s the sweet moments of a newborn or the playful nature of a child, I’m here to document it all!

If your child is wiggly, wild, or a little shy—don’t worry. I love the giggles, the wiggles, and everything in between. And when it comes to newborns, I focus on capturing those first days at home—cozy, relaxed, and full of connection, from sweet snuggles to tiny details.

My sessions are laid-back, full of laughter, and centered on connection, not perfection. This is about more than just pretty pictures—it’s about capturing a chapter of their story you’ll always want to remember.

There’s something magical about photographing children—their spirit, wonder, and personality naturally unfold in front of the lens. As a DMV child photographer, I’m drawn to capturing those real, in-between moments: the giggles, the silly faces, and the bursts of joy that show the true essence of who they are right now.

I don’t need them to sit still or smile on command—in fact, the less “perfect,” the better. I aim to create personality-filled portraits that reflect real life, real emotion, and genuine connection. Whether it’s the chaos, the quirks, or the quiet beauty, I love capturing these moments in a way that feels authentic and meaningful.

When I’m not behind the lens, I’m spending time with my family, homeschooling, leading my daughter’s Girl Scout troop, or getting way too into Animal Crossing. I’m a proud Disney adult—Walt Disney World is one of my favorite places, and my daughter and I love discovering something new every time we visit.

Family is everything to me. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for over 22 years, and you’ll often find him right alongside me at sessions—keeping things running smoothly and delivering plenty of dad jokes.  I’m a proud mama to two incredible kids: my daughter, who keeps life full of light and imagination, and my son, who’s out in the world finding his path but will always be my first baby and biggest teacher.

We share our home with three lovable dogs who add nonstop energy and unconditional love to the mix. I’m also a fan of sci-fi audiobooks, fruity teas, and reality TV (with popcorn and chocolate, of course!). Life in our house is full of laughter, chaos, and heart—and that’s exactly the spirit I bring to every portrait session.
