Child portrait sessions are designed to feel relaxed, playful, and true to who your child is — not overly posed or forced. There’s no pressure to perform and no expectation to act a certain way. Instead, sessions are guided with care, allowing personality, expression, and connection to lead.
Sessions take place in my studio using simple backdrops and minimal styling, keeping the focus where it belongs: on your child. Whether they arrive full of energy or quietly observant, I meet them where they are and gently guide when needed.
The result is a collection of portraits that feel modern, timeless, and deeply personal — images that reflect your child honestly and continue to feel meaningful as the years pass.
Sessions for Little Ones
For sitters, toddlers, and young children, sessions are relaxed and child-led. We move at their pace, follow their cues, and allow space for curiosity and comfort — capturing genuine expressions as they naturally unfold.
Sessions for Children & Teens
For older children and teens, sessions are easygoing and collaborative. With gentle guidance and room to be themselves, we create portraits that feel confident, expressive, and true to who they are right now.
Before Your Session
Before your session, we’ll connect over Zoom to talk through the details. We’ll get to know your child and walk through backdrop options, wardrobe, and styling so everything feels true to who they are.
During the Session
Sessions are child-led and gently guided. There’s no stiff posing and no rushing — just a calm, supportive environment where real expressions naturally unfold.
After the Session
About two weeks after your session, we’ll meet for a personal reveal and ordering appointment (in person or via Zoom). You’ll see your images for the first time and be guided through selecting your favorites with clarity and zero pressure. Together, we’ll plan finished artwork and images that feel right for your home — pieces designed to be enjoyed every day, not stored away.
For families interested in turning their portraits into finished artwork, you can learn more about how artwork is selected and created here.
